Due to a rise in COVID-19 cases in Gratiot County, Maundy Thursday Service will not be held in Pennington Garden

Gratiot County has now reached “the red zone” for COVID-19 which is high risk. In fact most of the state of MI is in the high risk zone.

We are disappointed as we know you are as well. The service will be recorded and available on the MAUNDY THURSDAY VIDEO LINK here on Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 6:30 pm. for the recorded virtual video of the service.

However, on Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 6:30 pm, you are also invited to join us for a drive-by communion, as we have done in the past. The plan is to drive to the white tarp and Pastor Joy will offer you the bread and cup. And then send you on your way. Communion will be provided in an individual cup that includes a wafer.

Jesus said, “I give you a new commandment: Love one another. And you’re to love one another the way I have loved you. This is how all will know that you’re my disciples: that you truly love one another.” That we should love one another is not a new commandment. There have been many before Jesus and many who came after Jesus who have commanded, advised, encouraged, implored, and even begged us to, “love one another.”

All are welcome!
