PRESBYTHESPIAN DRAMATIC PRODUCTIONS

EACH SUNDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 14 - MARCH 27
    Variation on the dramatic play, “Yes, I knew Him”, written by Bryan Dinwoody.

Call to First Presbyterian Members!

During the Lenten season, the Presbythespians are planning to do a variation on the dramatic play, “Yes, I knew Him”, written by Bryan Dinwoody. We would like to invite everyone who might be interested in participating to contact any one of the following by February 7th for more information:
    Bryan Dinwoody, Susan Beckett, Ken Bruza or Jeri Piccolo in the church office
Below is the list of characters:
    Joseph Caiaphas (Jewish High Priest who was involved in the Sanhedron trial of Jesus) Pontius Pilate (the praefectus or Roman governor of Judea), and Claudia Procula (wife of Pilate) Marcellus (Roman Centurion, attended crucifixion) Peter (Disciple of Jesus) Mary (Mother of Jesus), and Mary Magdalene (close follower of Jesus, seven demons were cast out of her) Nicodemus (Pharasee, member of Sanhedrin), and Joseph of Arimathea (member of Council, member of Sanhedrin) Barabbas (notorious prisoner) Jesus of Nazareth
Every Sunday during Lent one or two of the characters will do a dramatic reading of the role as part of the service. This play is an original and powerful dramatization written by Bryan Dinwoody. The readings will be about 10 minutes in length. Please consider participating in this Easter Season production as a way of giving your of “time and talent” to the Church.

April 5, 2012 - Maundy Thursday - Last Supper Diorama
  • 13 men actors presented a tableau of DaVinci's 'Last Supper' asking "Is it I?"
  • Directed by Jimm Lyon

December 18, 2011 - Christmas Pageant
  • A festive event with Mary and Joseph and the babe, accompanied by shepherds, wise men, animals, angels and very special 'flitting angels' along with choir and instruments
  • Directed by Jan Caputo

    Sunday Mornings:
    Worship 10:30 a.m.

    Nursery is provided. Children under seven years are welcome to remain in the sanctuary for worship or may choose to go to the Nursery after the Children’s Lesson.
    Open communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.
