Presbyterian Youth Triennium is a gathering for high school age youth from the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church that occurs every three years. The 2016 event is July 19-23, 2016 at Purdue University. The theme for the 2016 event is “GO”. If you have an interest in attending, please contact the office for help with arrangements. Other FPC youth have attended in the past and were very glad they did. Click HERE for follow-up information about the 2016 Triennium.

What Is Triennium?

At the Presbyterian Youth Triennium, through the presentations, studies, recreational events and mission experiences, we strive to connect youth and adults with activities that inspire them to be alert, active and seek ways to connect their lives with their growing faith. The event is planned around a central theme. Each day there is a sub-theme and supporting scriptures, speakers, conversations and mission opportunities. It is our goal to offer an experience that provides youth with the opportunity to explore their faith and their faith practices alongside those of the past and present faith communities.

Triennium is for:

Youth, entering freshmen through graduated seniors in high school; adult chaperones – known as “Adult Advisors.” The Triennium community also includes volunteer staff such as small group leaders (adults 23 years and older), college age staff- known as “Work Crew,” guests from the sponsoring denominations, young people from partner churches and reformed denominations around the world – known as “Global Partners.”

How do I / we get registered for Triennium?

Registration for the Triennium is coordinated through your presbytery or your church. Individuals must register as a part of a church or presbytery delegation. In the past, First Pres has contributed part of the cost of the trip. If you are interested in attending this wonderful event, please contact the church office or a member of the Christian Education Committee. You are encouraged to accept this great opportunity!
